Could you please tell us about your background and your current role?
I have been driving dump trucks since I was 18 years old. I started in a paving company called ALW Paving and worked with them between 1978 and 1988. From 1989 to 2000, I drove trucks for Friesen Exc. From 2001 to 2007, I drove for my brother in-law in Kahn Construction. In 2007, I started my own business, Fehr Trucking, and here I am.
I was born in Tillsonburg, Ontario. I come from a family of 11 boys and I am the oldest. I am a conservative Mennonite and have a role as husband and father of 5 boys. I am active in our church as a youth leader.
What do you like most about your job?
What I like most about my job is meeting people and travelling around the country side.
How do you like to spend time outside of work?
I like to spend time with my family.

I met The Tread Team first by telephone when I was communicating with Erika (Tread’s Director of Customer Success).
Before using Tread, what kind of challenges were you facing at your job?
I am not sure about any challenges on the job other than trying to be on time.

Tread helps me to be more punctual.

The onboarding process for me was a challenge because I was not familiar with technology, and I am still not, but it is going better.
What kind of results have you achieved using Tread’s solutions?
Keeping better stewardship of my time.

I am not sure, as I am not familiar with all the features, but I am learning.
